Neil has qualifications in earth science and education. He has over 45 years of experience in environmental and coastal management, and 20 years of experience in hazard risk management.

In environmental management, Neil focuses on environmental education and the assessment and development of natural resource management plans and initiatives. As a coastal geomorphologist, he develops coastal management plans and community education programs. In disaster management, Neil develops disaster resilience education programs, assesses early warning systems and develops multi-hazard risk management plans.

Across the environment, coastal and hazard fields, Neil uses his excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and evaluation to enable successful project outcomes
