Courtney is a coastal scientist with experience across a range of marine and coastal engineering fields, including coastal processes investigations, wave and sediment transport modelling and downstream flood modelling. Coming from a background in wave modelling and analysis, she has a significant interest and expertise in oceanography and coastal processes. She highly enjoys fieldwork, where she has worked in a range of environments including coral reefs, estuaries and the open coast using a range of instruments and survey techniques. Courtney has also worked on a number of coastal management programs across Australia, and enjoys working with stakeholders and community members to ensure the coastline is both protected and enjoyed for years to come.
