Terence Kelly

Terence has extensive experience in hydraulic modelling, hydrology, data analysis and scour assessment. Initially based in Melbourne, Terence relocated to northern NSW in 2019.

He’s experienced in developing 1D and 2D hydraulic models in various packages (predominately TUFLOW, MIKE and HEC-RAS) and undertaking hydrologic assessments to inform these. He also has extensive experience conducting seepage analyses and determining loss-rates and water savings.

Terence uses GIS extensively to build and interrogate models and produce high-quality, useful outputs, including animations. Terence enjoys using Excel, VBA and Python to manipulate and summarise complex records, especially where they can be used spatially.

Terence has been heavily involved in the Northland Regional Council (NRC) Flood Mapping project, assisting in model calibration and validation for multiple catchments. He has supported the modelling across the project and analysis of results, helping to deliver a valuable product to NRC.
