Carl has developed a varied skill set across the breadth of the water engineering spectrum. He has extensive professional expertise in mine site water management on projects across Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia. He also has experience with flood studies, stormwater management, and water-sensitive urban design and has provided expert advice on the inundation of properties for insurance company assessments in most Australian states.

Carl has gained in depth experience in water resource assessments and built on his core technical skills in numerical modelling of hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality processes whilst working as a Hydrologist for the Queensland Department of Environment and Science.
