The Stormwater Victoria Awards for Excellence celebrate innovation, leadership, and exceptional contributions in the stormwater industry.  Water Technology congratulates all of the award entrants and winners that were celebrated at the awards ceremony during last week’s Stormwater Victoria conference in Lorne. 

We are proud to announce that our collaborative work with the City of Stonnington and CSIRO (Data 61) won the Excellence in Strategic or Master Planning Category for work undertaken to deliver adaptive capacity modelling for the Chapel Precinct in Melbourne. 

This significant team effort has demonstrated a new approach to considering flood and heat impacts during precinct planning, which included identifying potential green infrastructure solutions that could be replicated across the area and providing evidence of the effectiveness of those solutions. This provides City of Stonnington with an important evidence base for strategic planning of the Chapel precinct activity centre.

We look forward to seeing and supporting the further implementation of the blue green approach and the development of planning and policy controls that support climate resilient outcomes.
