I am interested in applying for the Water Engineer – Hydrologist position
The role
Water Technology have been providing expert and practical solutions for surface water management across Australia for more than 20 years. Our growing Surface Water team consults with the public and private sectors, both on stand-alone projects and collaboratively with other technical disciplines (ecology, geomorphology, groundwater, civil design) across Australia. We utilise numerical modelling to investigate riverine and stormwater flooding, mitigation concepts, environmental flows and on-site stormwater management.
The right team member will have:
- Tertiary qualifications (degree or postgraduate degree) in engineering (e.g. civil or environmental) or environmental sciences
- 2 to 7 years experience in the sector, including 2+ years of modelling experience (preferably RORB, XP-RAFTS, DRAINS, TUFLOW, MIKE, Source)
- A positive attitude and desire to work actively in a team environment with a collaborative approach
- Excellent interpersonal & written communication skills
- Strong data analysis skills
- Experience in the application of GIS (preferably QGIS or ArcGIS)
Qualifications
A degree or postgraduate degree in engineering or environmental sciences.
